We’ve been raking for a long, long time!
Over the years we have tried every type of
handle from all variations of wood to new fangled,so called ergonomic, wavy handles.
We’ve even experimented with different grips
and found that most create more blisters than
they prevent. Listed below are the tried and true, consumer and professionally tested,
to be the best, handle selections around.

North American Hardwood:
Grade “A” domestic hardwood. We are even
more particular than the mills. Flexrake¨ specifies only premium, first quality handles that are dried below 11% moisture content and finished with the best lacquer process.
Even with these high specifications ,we still reject about 7% of the mills shipment to ensure the best possible finished products.

Alumilite¨:
One of the company’s crowning achievements!
We created the Alumilite¨ handle to meet the needs of people who feel that a traditional rake is deadweight that they must drag through the yard for a weekend of hard work.
We start with lightweight, durable aluminum and create a smooth, rounded, comfortable tube closure.No caps or plugs to fall out.
Next, we “pull on” a heavy gauge, U.V. protected vinyl that is genuinely comfortable in all weather and won’t fade or crack.
In raking, ergonomic means a straight, lightweight handle in tandem with the proper rake head!

Fiberglass:
Although rake handles do not receive the “leveraged stress”associated with other long handle tools such as round point shovels, we have found that there are certain professionals and consumers who try to break everything. Well, let 'em try this one! We balance the lightest with the best tube wall thickness and rigidity.
